I managed to survive the latest round but this is the first time I am not happy about that fact. These layoffs just confirmed once again how little regard this company has for its employees, especially those who've been here the longest and given it their all. And I have no desire to work for a company like that. As soon as the holidays are over, I'll start looking for a new job. And if there are more layoffs before then and I'm affected, so be it.

Can't be loyal to a company that knows no loyalty toward its employees. One day this will bite 'em in the a–.
Don't worry you'll get your wish soon.
The problem is is the railroads are just like the NFL.. it is a copy cat league. 1 does this.. the others follow. Today the standard is a .60 ratio or lower. Norfolk Southern is like a .63 so they must figure out a way to get there even the stock is closing at record numbers. Doesn't matter. If you are in a position to get another job that pays similar. Get it. They don't give 2 shots about anyone. They are closing stuff left and right. They are selling all kinds of stuff.
It was like a weight lifted from my shoulders when I get laid off. Got a job that pays same money, better days off, and no holidays.
