AIG has been working towards standardisation and automation of IT systems for the last few years, this was only to be expected. It easy to outsource when things are of a templated standard.

Accenture did this to a company I used to work for that could be seen as a competitor to AIG. They Jedi mind trick the senior leadership they are paying exorbitant amounts for a help desk and IT department. Their goal is for your company to eliminate their IT work force and just end up giving the same amount of money to them.

They especially target wealthy insurance, financial companies.
