I’m at a loss for words. Its simply astonishing how utterly disorganized and unoptimized their IT infrastructure and processes are. Every day is a seemingly impossible new low. At some point I might have to throw in the towel for sanity’s sake.

The greatest thing about Oxy IT is I don’t have to worry about my p–n stash on my desktop being discovered. Makes those 3hr MS Teams meetings so much better. Just make sure to turn the camera off.

As expected, Oxy IT downvotes everything. This is a regular trend on any thread critical of them.
If anyone at Oxy wonders why IT s—s so much, it's because this is the sort of childish stuff that they work on (if they work at all)
@sac+18nZOYcQ I've never seen anything like it. The department is staffed with endless layers of "leadership", all of whom do nothing but pucker lips and glue to their bosses a–hole.
You could reduce headcount by 70% if you actually hired qualified people. The DMV has more productive workers than current IT.
Yeah I’ve been astonished at the incompetence of Oxy IT compared to the two other O&G companies at which I’ve worked.
My experiences with IT has been good if dealing directly with them and not the HCL America employees stationed in India. They know nothing. OXY needs to stand up to HCL America and refuse to use any IT Support outsourced to India. But the HCL America support out of the US Call centers are better.

I use Teams from my home computer and it works great to communicate with my team. Just download the app and get you a mic and camera. You can get a combination mic/camera for 40.00 or less via Amazon.
