My manager pulled me into the office and gave me a lecture about having to go “above and beyond” in my duties. It appears he’s not satisfied with me multitasking while on a register, assisting customers on the floor, filling out BOPIS and whatever other things he has me doing. But in the meantime he’s sitting cozy in the back chatting it up with another coworker of mine who is doing the bare minimum. This company is crazy. If I didn’t need the job I’d walk away in a heartbeat.

I am curious how old the OP on this thread is. Based on the way they wrote I would guess by them posting it they are not supporting a family or own a house ..Grow Up? I can tell by that you have to be very young as well. The reason I am mentioning age is that with different experiences/different jobs you mature and realize the things you are complaining about are fairly routine in the work world.
Maybe some of us are tired if all the complaining about things that are very common in every workplace There is nothing constructive about many of these posts. Yes venting can be good but some people on here vent about things that happen every day.everywhere.Many are about how hard the poster works and how little their SM, ASM and co workers do. And how the poster was " wronged".. It gets really old. Actually it is not all that hard to find a job right now (in many fields). I come to this board for news and to hear what is happening (generally) in other stores..not to hear people whining about little things. If someone is trying to support their family then a wise thing to do would have been is to look for a job months ago as you knew the company was changing....ever hear of self responsibility?
What is wrong with all of you who commented? You know what it's like and how tough it is right now. Have some common decency and just move on if you don't have anything helpful to add instead of making some bitter remark. Grow up.
It's so hard to find another job right now, even if its part time. Some people don't have a choice in whether or not they can leave. Some people have to provide for their families. Yes, everyone has the freedom to leave anytime they want, but for some at what cost? Losing their home? Not having food to eat?
Have some empathy for your fellow struggling co workers.
You actually have multiple keys in your building at the same time? Count yourself lucky!

Sounds like typical Bloodbath. Usually the ASMs will put on a show on the floor while gossiping with someone else.
