Thread regarding JCPenney layoffs

Curiosity

So this is a question for those who choose to remain from a former employee. I am actually curious on why you chose to stay with a company that doesn’t value you? Is it because of the pandemic and you fear not being able to find another job? Is it because you have a great manager? I’m not here to bash, so please if you respond don’t bash. Thanks.

I feel very valued at my store. I love my store manager as well as all the other LOD's. The day may come that I will have to look for another job but that can happen with any job. For now I'm going to keep going into work with a good attitude because I enjoy what I do.

At my store everyone is valued. The store manager and supervisors are always thanking and praising associates. I don't think I've gone one day working without someone telling me thank you for all my help. JCPENNEY is actually the only retailer I've worked for where I felt like more than just a number. We're like a family, if your store isn't like this, I'm sorry.

Many people grow comfortable in their jobs and daily routine and really don't want to embrace change until they have to. It's human nature.
