Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Well, well, well...

We are among the five worst run companies in the country. I'm happy to see that at least Macy's management is being recognized for exactly what it is - a horrible management that is running this company into the ground.

Money and greed over hard work and dedication. They eliminate all the good employees who not only did all the work with no complaints but those who also helped take charge when shoplifters are around. The most useless are especially the ones in the higher positions who just walk around with their clipboards all day acting like they're busy but somehow their jobs aren't effected. This company should replace their star with a clown face cause that's what they've become, a JOKE.

A company that does not value employees WILL eventually fail. It take more than words. Genuine actions must follow. That's what certain managers brought to our store and there was growth and teamwork. However, the store manager was just horrible and the employees would say they did it because the managers valued them. Food for thought.

Not that I disagree that Macy's isn't run well, but seriously... what is this 247wallst.com site that literally no one has ever heard of?

If you're gonna try to make a point about bad Macy's is, you really need to post links that are from reputable sources with solid, well-researched information.

Macy’s got rid of all their talent !
They thought they would run a store with bare bones and not the staff that could grow the business.
Now it is blowing up in the companies face and hopefully not too late for Macy’s to recover.

I mean they got rid of people who were good at the job especially service and selling. They chose money over quality people. The grave error is you need quality people to help generate growth, duh! I guess it did not work out so well for them. PEOPLE ARE INDISPENSABLE to success.

I mean they got rid of the entire .com side right before they needed to rely on e-commerce 😂 although works out for them because they can just blame it on covid vs the horrible decision by Naveen & Jeff. Ironically everyone would have just worked remotely this year anyway

So how is Polaris doing? Now do you realize That Polaris was a name slapped on doing the same old c-ap to make investor think they was doing something special? I knew 5 years ago that all Macy’s managers barely did nothing. Most wandering around the store b—s—ting their entire day. Most of the long timers figure out a away to stick around with out doing anything. Most hide behind the talents of a associates who gets the numbers. I knew a sale captain manager who left to be a District manager of another company. When I found out. I thought she was a host not a manager. One year later they let her go. Know why ? Cause she brought no real skills from Macy’s.

ARE WE SURPRISED AT ALL?!? The Old Boys Club is doing a fantastic job running Macy’s (an American icon) into the ground. From carrying the worst product, sacrificing the store experience, STORY and being late to the game with a strong digital presence, spells impending doom. Macy’s is not open to change but only repeating what has worked in the past. WAKE UP MACY’S!!!!!!!
