So I recently told my manager something in confidence and in return he told everyone what we spoke about. I had assumed the discussion would be kept confidential and now I feel betrayed that he has shared this with others. The only reason I spoke to him about this issue is because it is a medical condition and may affect my job performance and I wanted to give him a heads up. I am not sure on how to handle this, if it’s possible to handle it. Should I file a complaint? Or let it go?

Sue the company and that scumbag. Not only a HIPPA violation, but also "creating a hostile work environment." Make that manager suffer.
HIPAA violation, follow through.
Textbook HIPAA violation. Your call as to pursue it or not. Also, your Boss is a low life weasel that never respected you, but is now exposed. Good Luck
