Yea, it's the manager hang out room now, Same managers sitting in their all day long.
IS offices started going away in our area almost 3 years ago. I’m surprised to hear they are even some still out there.
I will enjoy watching the scramble to figure stuff out. I have been telling everyone the office is going away and you need to learn how to do it yourself and figure it out but no they keep coming to me instead of learning. Well now your f—ed. You got 30 days now to figure it out.
The install Offices in my market started to shut down last month. They have already removed two of the three workstations in the office. One of our install staff has already quit and the other is being reassigned to the front end. Sales Specialists are now responsible for digitizing the signed contracts and uploading any pertinent documents into IMS. Ditto for maintaining the pulled product bays. Rumors are already circulating that we may also be responsible for doing the call 3s. So once again, eliminated positions leads to shifting of the workload onto others who are already overwhelmed in many cases but with no extra pay or hours. Bravo Lowe's! The beatings and job eliminations shall continue until morale improves...
Yep, I'll stick around till the last day in the office and see what plays out. If nothing good then I'll go part time maybe. We'll see what happens.
I heard this same thing today from a salaried manager.
