Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

What does the company have to offer?

Are we even considered “competitive” anymore in our industry? I just don’t see it. Our one GREATEST asset was the employees - yet we are treated as nothing more than cogs. Sure, working OT is great, but that is about all I can see that the company has to offer. There’s bound to be some place better and trust me I am looking!

"Recommendation: Get off the S.S. L3H "Titanic" . I can guarantee the Thanksgiving turkey is just not worth it. "

No turkey. No bonuses. Nothing.
At least not for the non-Executive crew.

Maybe there was some slap and tickle going on elsewhere with mistletoe, but I wouldn't do that to keep a job... others have and will, but I won't.

I work for a competitor and under no circumstances is L3 Harris considered competition. It is a well known fact throughout the defense industry that L3 Harris' rates are sky high (last I saw G&A OH 62.5%) and there are no new substantive programs (like Big Safari) as the business has simply packed up and moved away to other defense contractors who understand the business and are in the business for the long term. Coming from a competitor who regularly cleans L3H's clock, we all know that L3H is not in the game for the long term. BB and the other guy who likes to play with the secretaries are mere industry fodder. Recommendation: Get off the S.S. L3H "Titanic" . I can guarantee the Thanksgiving turkey is just not worth it.

"Come for the clean restrooms. Stay for the free WIFI. "

The internet is 'free' (and heavily monitored) but the bathrooms... that is entirely a different story. Here's the tale of the toilets in one particular office, near an airport, named for a former President.

*One of them always smells like dirty diapers and rotten eggs!
*I often find fecal matter smeared on the seats (apparently someone didn't learn potty training!)
*And, the pièce de résistance, is seeing a grown adult who has anatomical male parts in a ladies room.

I'd happily work overtime if I knew that customers weren't being lied to, and I am the one being asked to lie to them.

L3 doesn't consider employees to be an asset. You're a worker. That's it.
Especially if you are not a minority or some other 'protected' status that they can use to their benefit for a guise of diversity.

Some overtime every now and then is necessary and some extra money is always nice. When management starts counting on overtime to meet targets, and especially when they start mandating overtime, that's when it is time to update the resume.

I've interviewed with competitors. Trust me, L3Harris is considered to be gutter level.
