Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Gotta love being a DS knowing the company completely owns you.

I am a department supervisor and I can honestly say the way upper management treats me and my peers in the store is just downright evil in my opinion. It’s not like we’re even doing supervisor work, they have us unloading trucks, stocking lumber, cleaning the bathrooms, because we don’t have enough staff. I should mention I live in an area of the country that is under a lockdown. When I attempted to leave today after working 10 hours, my store manager said “where are you going” I replied that I was leaving, He said “I need you to stay we’re short-staffed” I said I could not stay as I had plans. His reply was “ what plans? Everything is closed you can’t go to restaurants or any other nonessential business, Plus you’re not allowed to have small gatherings in your home because that was just announced on the news. Also you’re single so you don’t have anyone waiting for you at home. Nice try though put your vest on and get back to work” I forgot that I am not a human being, I am just another asset of the Lowe’s corporation. I wonder when they’ll be coming to tattoo those asset tags to us so we can be tracked as needed. SMH

We have two ASMs that speak and act the same way, while they sit on their asses in the office. They pull those condescending stunts all the time on the cashiers and loaders. The one loaders parents are consulting a lawyer after they pulled that BS Christmas eve.

Accurate. My Pro DM and Lumber DM work like INDENTURED SERVANTS along w/ us, the very few staff they have. Its evil, unethical, and all BS.

District managers SEE us on forklifts, covering other depts, unloading trucks daily, etc. Yet make believe we are fully staffed and demand 10 cc apps per week, loyalty sign ups, surveys. Hey dummies! We are outside loading trucks! Cant be in 2 places at once you corrupt douchenhoffers.

That is truly funny. I did just that about a year ago. The mortgage industry is BOOMING. I make much more though, not a financial hit. A financial windfall.

End result here is you are an enabler for letting them take advantage of you. Your neither a supervisor or manager. And looking up to someone like that, I feel sorry for them . End results, your good people are leaving in droves, and all you will have left are the bottom feeders, managers included .

Let’s face it we all know the ship sinking and it is sinking fast stock to the roof ,cutting of hours Beyond skeleton crew ,80 hour work list wanted to be completed in two days it’s not gonna happen.Through worrying about it doesn’t matter anymore
