We are legacy APC with VSP and Some are offered to get hired back either as employee or contractor . We know it’s ethically wrong but, do we risk in losing VSP package?

Wouldnt be the first time, I remember in 2016-17 a few of the people that took the VSP came back a year later

Just legacy APC. I would say if the VSP months are up then come back, but start as a new hire and not get credit for previous APC or Oxy years. Those previous years have been paid with the VSP. If you are still getting paid the VSP needs to stop when a person comes back. If they are good employees that want to come back I would take them, but the first any complaining is heard then they need to leave. These people did many of us a favor by taking the VSP and allowing us to avoid more layoffs. A lot of good Oxy and APC folks left and I would not stand in the way of anyone supporting their families and especially in the environment we are in. I would also think the person would have a special skill that can’t be replicated internally or externally. There are a lot of folks out there that need the work.
Why would you go back for more of the degrading and hateful treatment?

Better not let legacy APC back without demanding adherence to the contract which should be to repay the part of the VSP specified in the contract. If not then legacy OXY taking the VSP wanting to contract should get the same deal.
