The managers will not tell you what is really going on. The regional managers don't tell your store managers everything either. I found out about the last huge layoff on this page a week before it happened, so don't say you haven't been warned!

The liquidation is being planned. February.
None of us are buying like we used to, everyone is saving their checks because we know the end is near. At least we can get unemployment to get us through for a bit.
Me too. 20 plus years. I was let go and they send me a discount card. Sent it to the return address & told them to not send it. They sent another one . I wrote them and told them to shove the card.
I never got another. 😂
It’s true! I spoke to both my SM & DM. They both told me things were looking on track to start calling us back to work. They fukkking lied to my face multiple times, as I called my store every month to keep abreast of how things were progressing.
I expressed how eager I was to help out in any way possible, even if it meant working in receiving or working part time hours. I told them I would do whatever they needed to keep things running smoothly.
Of course, I was called in August by my SM who told me I was being separated from BN in Sept 2020, after 20 years with the company. No “we’re sorry, or thank you for your service.”
Then, the company has the ballz to send me a “BN Retiree” discount card, which I’ll receive yearly to get the employee discount every time I shop at BN.
What fukkking nerve. We don’t want a loyal employee to work here, but we still want your money.
Please heed the OP’s warning: you’ll be used & lied to until the last minute. Get out now.
