As we wait for the polls at local 301 to open, there is so many unanswered questions. Was there a legit election cmte appointed in Jan of 2020? Will any elections held in 2020 hold up in court? Does the term constitution and bylaws mean anything to anyone? (Elected or not) Did the membership approve the spending of union funds to use county owned election machines? Did anyone tell the members running for office that they can not campaign on the clock? Must use vacation or personal time to campaign in any building, at any business, per federal law. Current elected officials also can not campaign while on the clock, per federal law. The entire election can be thrown out and a new election held, overseen by the US DOL, because of bylaws violations, and federal laws regarding campaigning on the clock as well. Election flyers can only be placed in company approved hourly break rooms and union info boards, another federal law, not to mention long standing GE policy. Today we hear, day before the vote, that all hourly get a hr to punch out and go vote and get paid for it. Wonder what the feds will say to that as well? The best way to get people involved in your union, that's been under suspicion of shady stuff for many years, keep on breaking laws, making side deals, and rubbing in peoples faces!! Happy Election Day Eve! I am so grateful to have close friends still at GE to keep me up to speed on the goings on each day. I anxiously read the papers each day waiting to see the big headlines of the Feds in town, boy are there gonna be a lot of shocked and sad folks when the day arrives!!! I’m not angry one bit. All I said was go back to GFA and assemble the generators. Maybe you assume I’m angry but I’m happy as can be. I have a secure job been here 12 years. I have to go to bed bye.
Predict all you want. I haven’t bad mouthed everything or everyone. I have been very specific and wish I could get more specific. It’s not possible for the Feds to not find anything, they already did. They are continuing to investigate. My hope is it will work out for everyone who has good intentions for the company and the employees. The people who lie, scheme, and cheat for their own personal gain have got to go or we’ll all go down.

I don’t recall saying anything about adding back job classifications. I don’t recall saying I cared to fix the mess that the others created. If I had the ability to change or amend the CA so that the floor would make sense and production could flow, I would. I am not in a position to do so. I am on a website trying to make others aware of what goes on with 301. I want a real Union. The CA might be your priority but it’s definitely not mine. Why do you care so much about what I write? According to you everything is great, perfect, spectacular. If you believe it’s needs to be amended like I do then contact the BA or contact the company and ask to meet.

You are so hopeful about the Feds only finding discrepancies that I genuinely feel bad for you. They would not be going back 5 years if there were only discrepancies. Read some of the findings on their site. This investigation is not going to close the way you are hoping it will. You don’t have to believe me, I know you won’t, I don’t expect you to because you don’t know what I know. But prepare yourself, it is coming. To be honest, I have no idea about the current BA. I wish him well, I hope he has nothing but good intentions and I hope he keeps the well being of the membership as his priority. But the P’s past has caught up with him, he’s going to feel it soon enough. I hope the Union can build back stronger than ever after it’s cleaned up.

Wow. Building turbines and generators that power the world can’t be compared to building a sandwich at Subway. It’s not my job to negotiate (or amend) the CA. The individuals who had that job and signed that CA failed all of us, he and his partner never worked on the floor and with this CA it’s more than obvious. I have no desire to clean up the mess that he made nor is it my job. It’s unfortunate that 2 stubborn, arrogant men did so much damage. I hope the people who are tasked with that job can pull it off despite the current Union remaining the same. The well-being of the company as a whole must be greater than the ego’s of a few selfish men.
Do you at least embrace the idea of a CA? Old school 301, if they ran a deli. One classification to bake bread, one to add meat, one add veggies and one to run the cash register. They would insist to no one is allowed to do the other's job. If no one orders veggies, that person gets to twirl their thumbs. Sickening job protecting old school BS. For a deli to run right it needs all of these positions to be cross-trained with no barriers to doing each others job. Yep, the by-product maybe that deli now only needs 3 vs 4 workers.
By beef isn't with tweaking the CA, sure that makes sense as long as we all embrace the concept out outlined in the deli example. Management should meet with union asap to discuss the CA with caveat they are open to tweaks, but no, I repeat NO classifications will be added back, but sure lets talk :-)
That’s funny. The CA is so great yet the ex BA and ex Plant Manager were removed from their positions, morale is worse than ever, and the floor can’t function properly because of the CA. It’s obvious to everyone why those two arrogant “gentlemen” are gone. They can make all the excuses they want, not sure if they try to convince us or themselves. Oh...and the Union that was ran by the “great leadership” of the ex BA is currently under an investigation by the United States Department of Labor, who’ve decided they’ve seen enough to warrant going back 5 years into the finances. You can praise the CA all you want, the proof says otherwise. Your thinking that any of this is “great” is why Schenectady is doomed. Ex BA is a bigger joke than ever and so is the ex Plant Manager because of the CA and his failure to make changes where they were needed. Both are like stubborn children that were destroying the place. The real grown ups had to come in, remove them from their positions, and are now trying to fix what they screwed up. Some people are so arrogant they become their own worst enemy.
But the old BA did land the excellent CA! Great work by him and his leadership team
It’s funny how the ex BA is hiding. The National/IUE LM-2 does list him as a part time employee for the National/IUE, he’s not working there full time as he claimed. I checked and the person was right. What a joke he ended up being. Can’t wait until the dol is done. I bet he’ll be “done” too. Too much chaos and c-ap with him. That always happens with bs artists.

I always apologize when I’m wrong. That’s what normal people do. That’s what people with a conscience do. I’m not wrong and it’s unfortunate. It will work out in the membership’s best interest in the end. When the investigation is complete and the gov’t comes in and rounds up the trash I won’t be looking for apologies from the ones who accused me of lying. Do you understand the word "materiality"? It would be very possible to violate by-laws and constitution and have an auditor and the DOL alike, arrive at the conclusion that "hand slap" is all that is needed, as the actions weren't material. They allow, and should, a great deal of latitude to the union members to get their own house in order (assuming it's out of order), often enforced with consent decrees. You have your opinion, as does LM (and 301 outside CPAs). So if the Feds don't find any wrong doing or apply a hand slap for lacking materiality, I assume you'll been the first to apologize to all of those you've called out.
Perhaps the answer is so simple as the National did come in, did their job and found ZERO major fraud, theft or whatever other BS accusations. Obviously much to the disappointment of you and your wishful thinking! But wishful thinking alone and personal vengeance isn't enough when the truth isn't on your side. No one at the National is putting their personal freedom at risk for anyone. Period! You expect us to believe that there is some big "cover up" between the International and 301 haha. You tell me why the IUE and the National covered for 301. Tell me why LH listed all the ways 301 was violating the By-Laws, misappropriating money, and breaking laws but then claimed there was no misappropriation. It is fact, it’s on paper. Did she benefit from covering for them somehow? Nobody knows why but all you have to do is read the “audit” to know there was a cover up! She literally lists all the ways they were breaking laws. There is no arguing that, it’s a fact. You tell me why she risked everything because I have no fcking clue, just like I have no fcking clue why the clowns at the hall would do what they’ve been doing. Tell me why 301 is allowed to literally ignore the Constitution and By-Laws and when complaints are made (by many members) not one single complaint is taken seriously or thoroughly investigated. The one man from the IUE who promised to come to Schenectady, walk the floor, and speak to all of us was told not to show up by the ex BA, he was then not allowed by the IUE to follow through up with any of us, he couldn’t call us back or listen to us as promised. LH was put in his place. The one man who was listening and willing to help was prevented by the man who we were complaining about and the IUE allowed it. Nobody came in his place to talk to any of us. They sent LH to do her fake audit and thought (or hoped) we’d be happy with that. NFW. I’m not a criminal and I’m assuming you’re not. Read your response on the IUE Int'l. So the Int' found irregularities in GE Louisville (a much
bigger Local than 301) and took the union local over for a few years. But the same Int'l
didn't do so in Schenectady? By not doing so, if 301 leaders are "dirty", they put themselves
at risk too. How do you explain that?
Also, assume the Feds find something, they will then allow the Int'l to fix as the first course
of action. Do you know that? The history in Louisville and the Int'l taking actions there will
weigh heavily on the minds of the Feds.

It's all lies. Anyone can ask for an audit, DOL help, etc. But will it stick. I retired from another GE site. An officer there, mostly to fulfill their ego (hum sounds familiar), filed charges with NLRB (lost), DOL (lost), Civil Action (lost). He disagreed with how the voting was done, eliminating retiree HC for those that retired prior to the active CBA, etc. At least 6-7 actions against the Company, union officers, IUE Int'l and lost them all. Pure EGO play.

I read an old newspaper article about the pre-meeting ahead of passing the CA. RM said that there was a record there. You'll argue something changed, so what, no dancing my friend, WHAT changed from what presented in that meeting until today?

US DOL, MOLS, Office of Labor Management Standards, department handles union election laws. For folks that claim a poster doesnt have their facts, you two clearly dont either!! And i am a current 301 employee .
