Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Walmart tech

This place is bad. I thought walmart was trying to get rid of the corruption within the company. It seems like its already dug itself too deep. As an experienced developer, walmart tech is a s***hole place to work and a visa mill for those who know how to foul the dumb directors. Although some of the directors are probably related to the people in the visa mill shell companies. Walmart tech is filled with dumb people. They cant find good developers so they just throw a bunch of people with nonexp. on specific projects. This place blows big time.

It's all politics. It's who you know and not what you know. It's sickening. A lot of really hard-working and smart talented people are overlooked and even let go because of these SOBs who are so good in politics.

Yep. Time to turn the foul soil in the garden is long past.
With st leadership and executive dumaes all the way to the top making s**t ideas seem like a golden path to everyone. Expect those of us who had made the company what it is.
They canned all the experience. Crowed at them like id–ts. And now... well they’re trying to buy new meat into the grinder. 10k and hey a new bike. Ohhhhhhh.
Look around NWA. Tyson bought into the same blue-nut idea. Fired all their long term and experienced people only to sign on with visa labor that know jacks**t.
Foil and crooked a** company with zero morals and green eyed envy to make as much money fir themselves. F– Them.

As a former Bentonville tech manager, I’ll say this: technical leadership basically s—s, and there is no such thing as a “good manager” anymore. The flood of Indian managers, directors, developers, technical specialists are a closed circle loop of inability and self-cover. But, it’s too far gone to either save or repair. It’s on a irreversible track to auger in. Unfortunately, managers, senior managers and directors that could have spoken up back before Kat’s era, simply didn’t. They just nodded their heads and drank the coolaid so they could continue to get along. So much for integrity and doing the right thing. For me, I simply got tired of working against the system and other managers. Sitting in meetings where we had to “find 5 more” to rate low was sickening. I’m pretty happy now working in a new role with an organization that values loyalty, doing the right thing, and where managers stand up for and look out for the welfare of their direct reports.
