When some of my colleagues were laid off in August I decided to be proactive in looking for other employment. I found it appalling that this company would treat their employees so callously - and continues to do so! I am happy to say that my search has paid off and I will be out of there in 2 weeks. Even that seems too long right now.

“Beautiful modern building”. It’s nothing more than a roach motel; designed to attract talent, but then hands you a RIF when they decide they want to drop budget and hire someone else in another country. NCR cares nothing about the quality of their products. Run..
You won’t regret or miss being a moving target on a yearly basis. No matter how beautiful a building looks. It’s just real estate. A Home is made by the people inside otherwise it’s just a house. Same goes with business. I used to enjoy going to work at Ncr till after y2k they started this stuff of right sizing and down sizing. Then offshoring. It hasn’t stopped. Of course it has become common in this business industry when you look and ibm hp etc.
Same here! I have been actively looking for employment for over a month now. About to start looking aggressively so are a few of my counterparts. Only thing I will miss about NCR is the flexibility and the beautiful modern building and its perks. Everything else is not worth the stress and I can’t put myself through this anxiety every Fall.
