In New York State, many companies are now offering a year end bonus where they formerly never had. What do you think is the reason? I think there must be a NY tax incentive or other reason for this-not that Xerox wants to reward loyalty.

People are leaving NYS and no one will come to work for Xerox because they know it’s existence is limited and terminal.
And remember, salary rationalization is still part of the plan. Another nail in your forehead coming soon-if you choose to stay.
Don't forget, "hey we're keeping the employee cost of health insurance for 2021 unchanged! Oh btw, we are cancelling the 401k match...."
Remember, at Xerox the word 'bonus' is actually two words.
Getting 1% of my salary as a bonus is better than not getting 1% of my salary .

It's like working your tail off and getting a 25 dollar gift card (Steak n Shake or comparable). What upper management thinks is good is quite the opposite at the lower levels...Almost a slap in the face and then they wonder why we don't want to work harder. What is a few hundred bucks in reality after taxes? Get serious people!
It’s just an HR/goodwill move because they likely want to leverage it into not giving any extra money to labor next year. Occam’s Razor folks: The simplest answer is the correct one (in my opinion.)
There’s no Man Behind The Curtain bean counting out a tax incentive being worth more than the bonus. They’re just going to give everyone a few hundred bucks and call it good until at least holiday 2021, when we’ll maybe get another couple bucks.
Doesn't make sense to me. There is an abundance of labor in nyc. I also can't find anything about this.
