Xerox Outsourcing Office Support to India
As we noted in February, Xerox began quietly shuttering about half of Xerox Business Systems (formerly Global Imaging Systems) offices. CRN quoted one of the affected office workers saying, “We were told that sales would remain, but the office staff would be let go. The sales team is going to work remotely and report to the regional office.” About a month later came the March 19th announcement that Xerox would be outsourcing many of its support roles to India. Xerox signed a seven-year agreement for an incremental $1.3 billion with HCL Technologies in which the Indian company will manage global administrative and support functions including IT and finance functions (excluding accounting).

Jan 2021 my core office staff is a shell of itself. President wants those few employees to return to office, news flash covid cases are spiking..not smart. surprisingly we still have supplies team and parts departments, hearing this quarter supplies will be outsourced to hcl. What's sad is our supplies team is returning to office but it will be only a short period of time before they will be told most of them are going to lose their jobs

After almost 2 years I am still doing my job....yup, offshore just can't handle it
In fact there are now about 15 to 20 people there doing the work that 5 people were doing at my core and 4 of the 5 are still working at the core, so Xerox please explain to me the cost savings??? Our jobs went to Guatemala, India and Manilla
Xerox is going down the sh–ter and HCL is a 10 Billion dollar company

I did see browsing other company websites that there's either bots or people who copy/paste similar posts to boards, probably to drum up traffic. I wonder if they don't try to crawl news stories and copy/paste something like this to do the same thing.
