Working at Lowe*s and Amazon are do completely different worlds. You won't find the time complain at Amazon until you are no longer working there.
Yes, true. I went today and start in two weeks. I'll be working 35 hours a week at 19.25 an hour. No benefits, but a schedule that is the same from week to week. Lowes paid me $11.50 an hour - would only give me 20 hours with a c-appy schedule and an a.... for a store manager. Handed in my resignation two hours ago.
I heard that distribution and fulfillment centers are being staffed mostly with temps so they get no benefits. Not sure if its true but that's what I heard from a fairly reliable source.
Look at Amazon’s share price. They know if you want to attract and retain good people you have to pay them well.
