I don’t work here. I do watch this page sometimes as Chesapeake is a major part of OKC and I have friends who have worked there. Plus I check on a few other companies on the layoff as I own their stock.
Does your company seriously not tell you anything at all? Surprise 500 of you are laid off! It seems you find out about major company moves through the news and reading court dockets. Does your management ever share any information? Of course I know CHK is public and they can’t disclose insider info ahead of time, but still, some sort of plan forward would be far less anxiety inducing than waiting as sheep before the slaughter. Does the CEO ever have a Q&A? Any management? Seems like a cowardly and brutal way to manage employees. I can’t imagine the workplace vibe that creates. Cloak & dagger. Left hand knows not what the right is doing. And all that sort of nonsense.
