It is all part of Allstate's "Tranformative Growth". Mass layoffs with severance, throw all the work on those left behind. Demoralize and create a no win condition for meeting performance and gradually term employees "for cause" for not meeting required performance goals. Some will still get unemployment in their respective states but this frees Allstate from paying out severance and extending medical benefits. This is essentially on purpose as a gradual ongoing RIF without having to pony up severance and in some states their portions of unemployment.

Welcome to Corporate America.
Now now Glenn. That wasn't very nice Mr. Weird Sweater Wearing while facilitating a town hall from your mansion with the terribly outdated furniture Guy.
Sounds like you can’t cut the mustard at the new Allstate, snowflake, no participation trophies here! Now scurry back to your safe space and cry about it, slacker
Anyone have any insight to what will be discussed tomorrow on the All Hands video? Wonder if RIF will pop up again.
So what you're saying is the people that were not laid off and felt they were safe are actually less safe than those laid off with severance and extended benefits? Who's in good hands?
This seems accurate. With all the cross training they are doing in many areas to double us up in roles it seems like they are quietly continuing the layoffs by this method and having us do multiple roles such as agency services and RMBC as they are doing now.
Source or speculation? What’s the target decrease through this “for cause” RIF? What’s the purpose? There’s work that needs done and people are needed to do the work.
