NCR offered to buy Cardtronics just after the acquisition of Freshop... I wonder where it all leads and what will happen in the end? The biggest question is what is the next thing they plan to buy, because they obviously can't think of any other strategy? If I were a new hire, I would maybe think they know what they’re doing, but since I'm not... I just hope for the best.

Lack of ingenuity, imagination, resources and talent plain and simple.
They try to buy because they don't have the talent to do it themselves. Sorry, NCR. You're a dinosaur that the industry will soon replace.
This has been an NCR trend over the last 20 years. Buy what you don't have the talent, resources or ingenuity to build or support yourself. This will not change until dinosaurs like Bill VanCuren are shown the door. He talks a good talk but as you saw with the waste of hundreds of thousands of dollars on the Ragingwire debacle and pull out he's not as smart as he tells us he is.
Like zuckerburg of face book said why build it if you can buy it?? Cheaper to eliminate the competition than build it was his answer.
Well ncr used to have technology and some great developers but as we can see they rather buy technology instead of being a pioneer it once was in the industry.
