Prioritizing individual gain over what is best for the company, nepotism and corruption run rampant.
Because of this the new CEMREC organization is more incapable than ever before.

Zero on-site company oversight of “single source supplier” with limited skill set given all access...sounds like a recipe for citations and shutting off critical equipment systems.
More proof the most qualified were kept on board by CEMREC.
My wife and I both got jobs in CEMREC and I think the organization does a fantastic job if you're like me and your M.O. is to work as little as possible and get the biggest paycheck possible. I'm going to go skiing today and my manager will never know
Is it just me that finds it so interesting that CEMREC is consistently / continually being discussed. And not in a good way. When will management get a clue that something is really wrong!
except they're knifing vendors in the back at every turn. good luck getting anyone to go the extra mile
You only have to look at who were selected as the new managers to know that the latest reorganization was going to be a disaster! Personal agendas. Lack of knowledge to perform their new jobs. And a complete lack of an ability / planning to tell their direct reports what their new responsibilities will be. Last item. If anybody still thinks that the suppliers / vendors will have your back, you are delusional!
@3wxf I love how CVX thinks the vendors have CVX best interest at heart. LOL
isn't this true of most functions at Chevron? just outsource it to the vendors and call them business partners.
Chevron would be smart to sell their various kingdoms off and lease them back. They could lay off so many more people in CEMREC (All the friends of friends with little to no experience in real estate who were kept on board) and the responsibility for operating and maintaining the buildings would fall back on the new owner. They could outsource all planning functions as well. Focus on oil and get out of the real estate business. More money for paying dividends.
True. They’ve given the vendors keys to the kingdom. They put people in jobs that have zero experience.
