Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

How affected are those with ongoing medical issues?

They also plan to unload anyone that took any kind of leave this year, or has any kind of ongoing medical issues like diabetes. Again to save onto payroll and benefits costs going forward. Sometimes I just can’t believe the things that I’m hearing, but the way things are anymore, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

post @4lmd+18L7ApDi / I have diabetes and this really stunned me. Is it possible that they will do that? Please tell me that this is exaggerated. It is sad what this company has become, nothing surprises anymore.

If those medical issues affect your work you will be dismissed along with the full timers. As a manager I have high expectations for my associates and that means showing up to work every day, working at 150% capacity and being grateful you have a job. If you aren't ready to fall flat on your face from exhaustion when you leave, you weren't working hard enough.

If they did that I’d have to fire 80% of the store The way lowes works You only have to worry if you’ve been in the company for 5+ years or you got a full-time position
