I've heard Macy's is closing a bunch of stores and I just wanted to tell people who are affected: they're doing you a favor! I was in one of the stores that closed last year. I remember feeling like c-ap, thinking my world was ending. But then it didn't. I managed to find a new job within a month and it turned out to be better than what I had in nearly every aspect. I had forgotten what it's like to work at a place that doesn't have toxic work environment and where people actually like each other - even the managers. My life improved significantly since then. All I'm trying to say is, it might not look like it right now but things will get much better.

2 comments down I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. All the lazy whiners are safe with their jobs cause they know they got high seniority from the union and they pretty much abuse their work time by standing around not doing anything and still whine about how they wanna leave the company while dedicated workers like me who hasn't been with the company for decades get the boot and yet I did the most hard work. Bizarro world is right as they wanna keep the useless and get rid of the energetic.

Bingo on toxic work environment. You got coworkers who spread gossip, managers who do nothing. , politics, lazy people who just wanna whine all the time yet the company does nothing to them. In fact they keep their job and let go of all the talent. Makes no sense as everything at Macy’s. It’s like Bizarro world . What company you know where you work yourself to death to make less money ?
