Unbearable customers

People simply lack empathy. Many of those we greet surely themselves suffer the whims of their superiors and the stress of uncertainty due to dismissals, but they come here and pass on their frustrations to us without any compassion.
So we are experiencing stress from two sides, from superiors, but also from customers. Moreover, my customers are becoming bigger problem than my superiors lately. It’s awful what we’re doing to each other. Is it up to me or are you also encountering increasingly unbearable customers?

In certain European countries most everyone is required to serve in their armed forces. Here everyone should be required to work one year in retail just to see how people really are. What part of "I am not your personal shopper" do you not understand??? Used to be we have secret shoppers come in then fill out their contact report. I remember one in my department; I asked her open question after open ended question to assist her; she gave no help in return. I got a low score and got called to the principal's office about it. Sadly the principal, aka store manger, knew next to nothing about my department products either. GO FIGURE!
