In other words, you can stop drinking the blue kool-aid now, IBM does not like you.

"Whether IBM owns Newco"

There seems to be a lot of confusion about this both at IBM and on this board. IBM will NOT own Newco. It will be a separate company. With separate stock. Current IBM shareholders will get shares of it when it spins off, what they do with that stock is up to them personally. But Newco will not be IBM, will not be owned by IBM, will not be part of IBM or a subsidiary of IBM or anything else. It will be as different of a company from IBM as TCS or Infosys is today. This isn't just some branding exercise.

Why do you think they hired Cohn? He is a money guy / venture capital guy and he has been brought in to get a good valuation for GTS Whether IBM owns Newco and mines the IP, and sells it off doesn’t matter to AK as it does not factor into “new hybrid” IBM moving forward. GTS is essentially legacy operations moving to a different operational model (high dividend, low to no growth)
