It was propaganda then, too, but everyone was fat and happy.
Don’t be deluded that they actually cared. That’s so much of the problem. Since we collectively embraced Milton Friedman’s c-ap if you aren’t a shareholder, you’re a cost.
Unfortunately the company that you thought loved you now thinks you cost more than you earn to them.
That’s all this is. Just business. It was never personal - good or bad.
