There will be more layoffs with 60 day notices in April. That’s the magic month they will let all claims employees know if they will have to work from home permanently, go half at home, half into a hotel work space, or go back to a germ filled office somewhere.

It’s not rocket science folks. They have a plan and they’re implementing it. They’re just not telling all the peasants what the plan is until it affects them directly. April is a great time to lay off more people with a 60 day notice so they can cut their expenses by the end of the fiscal year, June 30. Then if they cut too many people, they can just hire new people in this employer friendly marketplace for a lot less money than they’re paying the remaining tenured folks that they didn’t cut in November. I’ve been here over 30 years and seen this happen many times I have the biggest target on my back and can feel that I am in the crosshairs. Good luck to all especially those over 50.

The only reason they are waiting until April is because they want to see what Covid does, but they’re gonna lay off more. As many as they can.

Within first quarter there should be impacts to Allstate IS and Encompass with the finalizing of the NatGen purchase being finalized. NatGen leadership and staff are heading up the implementation so they should be impacted less.

Other than that just based on what was said about Transformative Growth last year I would expect similar layoffs but maybe in lesser numbers and lesser benefits offered than in 2020.

But on the positive side there are tons of openings for front line positions going on and coming if you don't mind the demotion and large pat cut if you are in a position where you have to return. Some areas are matching prior pay but not all.
