At what age are you eligible for early retirement?

  1. For Pensions, you can draw 100% unreduced at age 62. For every year before 62 Pension is reduced by 4%. Still early withdrawal penalty of 10% if drawing 401K funds before the age of 59 1/2. Just a heads up, if you can make it to age 55 your pension jumps very significantly. I gave a PowerPoint presentation on it a few years ago at FL.

Kind of explains why they start putting the heat on employees to get them to quit before age 55

If you think that Pepsi will embrace you and shower you with money once you announce your retirement, think again. I retired after 30 years of unbelievable sacrifices to dedicate my myself to my job. I could not even get anyone to return a call much less get access to additional benefits. Once your gone, they kick you to the curb and move on to mind manipulation of the next group of recruits.
