Other industries aren’t doing bad so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did leave for better opportunities. Their cash bonuses will be sh!t this year and they’re most likely only going to get base pay so why would they stay if they can exit this dying industry. O&G isn’t what is used to be not will it ever be again. I’ll be jumping on the first offer to get off this sinking ship.

Don’t fool yourself, nobody is quitting in this environment. They were all fired. It’s another stealth layoff event happening and it will continue.

Why have so many people in management quit in the last 90 days? What gives? Do they know something we don’t?

This is too funny. Here are my thoughts.

EF Khakis - has not done a day of real land work in years. He falls into the right place right time box. The dumb stare on his face makes me think the large amount of alcohol consumption is eating away his brain cells at a rapid pace. HR might want to give this guy a “random” d–g screen as he appears to be high or drunk most days.

ORB Khakis - the epitome of little man syndrome. The type of guy that puts peanut butter on his balls for Max to lick off. A delicate snowflake, look at him the wrong way and he gets offended. He’s 0-16 in bar fights but he’s going to keep trying.

Perm Khakis - being the only Aggie in the group it’s no wonder he was the first promotion after Aggie VP showed up. This guy is smart and knows why he is where he is. He won’t rock the boat and will smartly keep that maroon nose firmly planted in that maroon butt and ride that wave.

It does seem that wearing square toed boots and pleated khakis is a winning formula to become a supervisor. I think the higher ups see these guys as non-threatening as they can’t even stay in the correct decade with their clothing choices. Eventually it’ll be back in style.

  1. S. start by getting a shirt that fits.

These guys are sensitive about their square toed boots and pleated khakis. Let’s see how long it takes them to have this one taken down.

Nice to beard you.
Don't say beard.

I said beard.

I am sensing some beard anger. The success of our department comes from us workers and not you middle management bearded boys. Remember we are the ones making you look good and helping you stayed employed.

If you could think independently and do your job without being pulled around like an old lame dog, it wouldn’t matter who was running Land. My guess is you will be on the next list of layoffs. The company will be the better for it

I couldn’t agree more. My supervisor is a total mo–n who has zero leadership skills. Please get rid of him.

Dumbest thing about our group is the amount of middle managers. We have managers managing 2 people who are supervisors supervising 2 people. It makes no sense. If we do have layoffs this year they have to cut some of these good for nothing middle men.
