Lack of Leadership

We have an outbreak in our store.

I blame the Store Manager and every leader all the way up to Marvin. Nobody took it seriously. Nobody wore masks, just used them as chin straps. No cleaning. No social distancing at all.

One of the associates took Covid home to his wife, who is now in the ICU. She is my best friend.

Now I am sick. Sick with shame for this company, sick with disgust at the selfishness, sick with fear that Covid is that much closer to me and my family. Sick with worry about my best friend because of the laziness and arrogance of the company that I work for, and that they have abandoned us.

If God forbid she passes, I point the finger of guilt squarely on you, Marvin. Get control of your leadership now, before it spreads to one more person.

Every week at our store least two people catch Covid and the only way we know is because we have them on our social media every management keeps tightlipped

There are 5 cases in our store and the only reason we know is word of mouth. Management isn't saying anything cause they're afraid there's more cases. They need to wake up and tell people so we know.

I just really don’t understand how the company thinks that lack of enforcement is cost effective?

The small uptick in sales we might get like one of the other posters mentioned about people coming Lowes because were so loose on enforcement, all that profit would be eaten up by everybody getting sick, and the community getting sick. It’s irresponsible and disrespectful to the customers at large, because we are absolutely contributing to community spread and directly contributing to the hospital profit, not ours.

Have some balls, Lowe’s. Instead of hiding in the shadows of Home Depot and other companies all the time, why dont you stand up, be brave, do the right thing for your employees and customers (aka, the two groups driving your profit, in case you forgot).

Sorry to hear about your store and you and others getting sick. I brought up early on all the issues with no PPE,mask compliance and Included Sr Mgmt. Nothing changed. They truly don’t care about Store level employees, Just Profits. My mgmt bragged when customers said they shopped at our store rather than our competitor just down the street, because competitor was strict with masks. It cost the customers more because competitor had constant 11% off since pandemic started.
