Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

How Will They Notify Us?

I know my department will be gone. How will they tell us? Email, meeting, phone call?

It’s really not something you notice in a day. Been there done that. This is something built over time, here are some examples

  1. You are left out of important projects/initiatives and pilots
  2. You are handed “Legacy” stuff and the process or system is in its last days
  3. Your rating is 3 or below without much explanation why
  4. You are not on the promotion list
  5. Your manager is looking to you to document your work, looking to snap at you ( politely is key) on the quality of your work
  6. Part of some random surveys

Then one fine day your manager can setup a meeting with you and you find HR in the meeting too ( assuming this is not part of the mass layoffs otherwise HR schedules a meeting very last moment)

The key is you don’t have to wait till the end as you will never time it. Instead you know in advance and your hunch is mostly right.
