By cutting hours, for some of us even entire days, I wonder what they think they will get.
Same productivity? Humiliated and extremely dissatisfied people working at the same pace and doing the same amount of work?
I don’t know which wise guy came up with that idea.
I am grateful for my job because this is a difficult year for a lot of people who have been left with nothing, but this company really does not deserve people who are working for them. Sorry if my tone is inappropriate, but I’m totally disappointed after my hours are cut. In fact I totally feel like not working at all.

Walmart/Sam's keep adding more and more to see if you can handle it. If you can, they add more. That's why they treat good workers like c-ap and the lazy ones they leave alone. Remember, You get the same raise as the losers so don't k–l yourself so the others don't have to earn their paycheck. Slow and steady wins the race. As long as you stay busy you will be just fine.
Walmart to Meijer to Lowes to Homedepot= It's all retail.
Same with me full time 10 year associate and got cut an entire day. I made 2k less this year then last year because Walmart cut hours. Even with all the pandemic bonuses I still made 2k less. Walmart doesn’t care about its employees, we are just a number to them and they do not value us unfortunately. Meijer is being built close by maybe I will apply there when they open. Hate having to start over but maybe that’s what is needed. Walmart just gets worse instead of better. They keep taking away more and more and giving less and less.
The Sears business plan.
Corporate greed!
As The Mandalorian would say, "This is the way." Unfortunately.
Retails s—s. It s—s sour frog @$$. Walmart only cares about the bottom line. They offer a few sc-aps for the desperate that need jobs and then treat you like expendable cattle. The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are their bread and butter for their entire year. Once they are over, the cutting to the bone begins. It happens this time every year.
Stick with it while searching for a better job. They are out there. Do your job and then turn it off once you punch out. Focus on the things in life that make you happy. Go to college (if you can) - I don't know your situation. Tighten your belt and stick to a budget and plan for worse case scenarios like this.
Good luck!
