Okay. Are there cuts or not?
Yes, if you see in your store running with less registers even if it’s was total busy in 2018 or 2019 you didn’t need that many people to run any department. The only problem you ran into was filling your hours which is real actually they want the same person to work more when there are hours but when there are no hours they want the same person to not work. Activate your brain for a moment.
Height ups are getting cut or not?
It is tough topic because at macys there are so many people in the higher management that if macys even cut those positions they know that they will become TJMAXX which they don’t want to. And Tjmax company is exactly doing what macys will do in the near future when they realize that yes that the actual strategy to run the company with few ups and more downs.
OVM’s are going to stay or not?
So look at this way your sales managers do sh–. And your OVM’s are actually not OVM’s they are still MTM because they don’t know sh**t about visual and operations if I talk in general.
Company is just testing this to see if with collaboration of MBA and OVM will work if not macys can create operations manager position again.
Mind you it’s not your street store it’s a company that can create or eliminate positions, or just change titles get rid of people who store managers don’t like and put more responsibilities on a– kissers.
OVM’s or Store Managers?
This is true that store managers rely on OVM’s. But the company doesn’t because they rely on store managers. If there are no store managers than the company who will close in next 20 years will close in next 5 years because OVM’s will give a sh**t and store will be a mess even their DVP keep asking them to get things done.. OVM’s won’t care.
You all need to know one thing. Go around your store and see the age population in your store in support in managers as well. If you see old enough managers and support team than you got the answer that why this company is sinking they can’t get rid of some managers who ask all day about charges and getting paid in 50k-70k just to ask for charges all day in normal days what else do they do just notice or judge when you are around. You will see them recover for few minutes they next moment they will get a call about upset customer and next moment they will ask you please open up a charge. This is what macys is paying them for a 60k+.
