“Those who can, do; those who can't, give away other people's money to minorities.”
The former IBM CEO on diversity and the discomfort of good ideas --

Must be nice to make so much money that you and your heirs will never have to worry about money... and that's just one year's earnings...
Palmisano started the destruction and Rometty jumped on the bandwagon. While other companies grew revenue these two knuckleheads cut cost and robbed the company blind. Shame it will continue.
~$160,000,000.00 official. $20m per year with stock grants.
Also, IBM hid some grants value. So the realistic total is close to $200m. They did this by under valuing the stock grants. Highly deceptive.
What did she make in total compensation ? How much of it did she give to low income people - many in IBM?

Ken Frazier, Ginni Rometty and other CEOs pledge to train and hire 1 million Black workers in 10 years

Now that Ginni is powerless and s—ing up to her does no good, she will find out that all of her sycophants really hate her.
When the facts don’t support your claim to success, you need to move to the intangibles (progressive work envio, looks good on the cover of fortune mag, found a way to hire folks at 1/2 price, etc etc) to bolster your claims. Here is a general definition of what a CEO should be Please note the first line “vision, leadership, and direction” No matter how you add it up, Ginni failed and failed miserable. IBM board, if you define success as losing 1/3 of the revenue and 1/3 of the stock price during an extended bull market, then perhaps you should follow Ginni into that gentle goodnight as you have also failed miserably.
“ Providing the vision, leadership and direction that an organization needs to achieve its goals is the main function of the chief executive officer.
As the face of an organization, the CEO is typically required to represent the company in the public. This could include such activities as participating in meetings with the board of directors and stockholders, attending community functions, advocating for the organization in the business and political arenas, and developing relationships with strategic partners and clients.
Reporting to the board of directors, the CEO serves as both an advisor and policy administrator. These high-level executives are responsible for a firm’s productivity and profitability. They are typically expected to ensure management and staff members are supported with sufficient resources to stay ahead of industry and economic changes.
CEOs also supervise the general operations of an organization, including human resources, finances, sales, production and physical resources. Ultimately, they are responsible for complying with legal and regulatory requirements, product and service delivery, upholding quality standards and ensuring the organization’s financial health.
To succeed, a CEO must be supported by a strong management team; therefore, recruiting, hiring and mentoring staff is another important duty of the chief executive. These professionals may also be responsible for expanding company and product awareness, establishing and implementing organizational goals and mission statements, and maintaining a positive public reputation.”
Hey it's on LinkedIn, what did you expect from a job board disguising as a social media. At least, you know it's wage slave related (so you can catch that hot vomit), not like that Z guy.
@1ilb+18D3MzqF - Get used to it... currently something like 40 companies have committed to "Project One Ten".

FWIW, China is working deals in Africa for resources in exchange for materials... I suspect China will eventually offshore labor there as well.
They'll basically do to China what Wall Street has been doing to the US for since at least NAFTA.
Both Communism and Capitalism as practiced in the real world (not textbooks) depends on the exploitation of the masses. Both end up being plutocracies. One is the plutocracy of owners... the other... a plutocracy of The Party Leaders and Co.
Cheaper labor figures into both organizational structures.
Would seem the obvious goal then, is to figure out how to be join the upper ranks.
The blatant hypocrisy of those sycophantic, brown-no$ers beggars belief. And I presume the title photograph was taken at IBM Uganda?
she is ready to be Newco CIO
Are those people standing with her in that LinkedIn profile pic IBMers too?
I remember the comments on W3 with all her posts and they were pathetic.
"oh Ginni, you are great, I am so proud to be an IBMer" (please)
And thank you IBM for the 200 million plus in pay for bringing IBM from a $120 billion company into a $80 billion dollar company - while Microsoft and apple reach trillion status . Oh I hope i can get the same from JPmorgan Chase.
One last opportunity to toot her own horn since nobody else ever will again.
nauseating
This insincere communication makes me want to vomit.
