Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my chk family. Today should be a stress free day full of thanks. I’ll be forever grateful for what CHK has given to me all these years. I will forever love my work family & wish nothing but the best for all of you.

We still come to this site because we enjoy to read about your torment, knowing that in a few more months your employer will be erased from history ....

Some people like confrontation and drama. Doesn’t mean they are wrong though.

The “Chesapeake family” had more sociopaths and stole more money than the Manson Family and the Marcellos Family combined. I’m so glad I’m out of that hell hole. I hated every minute of it but I thought I needed the money and experience. Turns out the joke was on me. What I needed was to get the hell out of CHK. That place was a cult from middle management up. It seems like a very bad dream now. The guy running my department could barely read and write. He had friends up top. It is no surprise to me that CHK is going to end in liquidation.

Dang right it was a good time. We spent 30 billion dollars more than we made since 2000.

I loved it too and life hasn’t been the same since my job was “eliminated”. I gave everything I had to give. I would be comfortably retired had my job not been “eliminated” but that’s just a distant dream now.

I guess you were one of the few who worked at CHK that didn't get a bad taste in their mouth. There are many people that were traumatized by the experience. God bless. Take care.
