Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Feeling overworked yet?

Just wondering how everyone is handling the new workload. I admit I am resentful because 1) it reminds me that my coworkers are gone and that even before 2) I already had a lot on my plate. But most of all 3) I’m doing the extra work and not getting compensated for it. Or is the extra work now considered my normal workload?

Can someone help me out? I got a job offer from Allstate for claims, but I don't think I would like working those later shifts..I have another job offer but it pays less. How is it working in claims department? Is working for Allstate worth it? I have so many questions!!! Maybe if someone can email or call me would be greatly appreciated 😊 FYI: it's also remote I have never done that either!

It’s really a shame. I used to pride myself in working hard for this company. The past three years have literally let all of the air out of my drive. Now I do as little as possible and cut every corner I can and it’s still too much work for what we are paid.
Everyone I work with is on the same page with this. If only the company could equate how much money it costs to have disgruntled workers vs happy. They are so far behind the times in that realm.

Not in claims anymore but I have been through something similar with a different company. Honestly, we just ended up stroking checks to get rid of claims and that went on for a few years until everything reverted to hiring back experience due to severity. I don’t think Glenn and Tom will be around too much longer unless they can make “Growth” happen in Transformative Growth Plan. They bet the house on this plan and I already see issues on my side outside of just claims. Ease of use is a HUGE issue and they are moving in the wrong direction.
