I for one am not looking forward to this. It’s going to be a madhouse and trying to social distance will be impossible. But you can bet I will be using a mask and carrying a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my pocket the entire shift as I assist customers or check them out at the register. Who else is resigned to this?

I have decided to go in at 5am but if at anytime I feel unsafe or in jeopardy I will clock out. I hope this doesn’t happen but am prepared to make this decision. It is definitely not one I take lightly as this is my 29th Black Friday but I will not put my health or my family’s health at risk to fill orders for online customer.
I think wearing vinyl gloves is the best protection against anything. Not only from the germs on things, but also absorption of chemicals from the keypad disinfectant and hand sanitizers into the skin of your hands. Use hand sanitizer on the outside of the gloves if you need to touch your face. And, when you wash your hands in the store/employee rest rooms, let them air dry. Don't use the hand dryer which blows the hot air. Those things are notorious for spreading bacteria and viruses.
I’m in Miami and our mini Cheeto governor is like his papa. He doesn’t care about this virus. Our doors are fully open up to 95% occupancy. So seriously it’s basically full capacity. Our last couple of one day sales brought out of customers. Our business has been hard to predict. I’m nervous but will be wearing a blue mask under the cloth as some of our customers don’t like to wear mask. Even though it hasn’t been that many, but if we say something, they are the ones looking for a fight. I’m maintaining my distance and worrying about myself. Hope the day goes by quickly. Sigh
You're assuming you will have customers. In California they are limiting the number of customers who can come in the mall and the store. I bet the Ventura CA Macy's won't be busy.
