Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Is T-Mobile Safe?

Greetings -

I've completed the first round of interviews for a position in the Corporate division and figured I'd stop here to see just how secure jobs are at T-Mobile.

For context, I'm coming from AT&T, which is probably one of the most toxic, dysfunctional, mismanaged, incompetent companies that ever existed, and where senior executives routinely have massive layoffs (at least every quarter) to cover for their bumbling and stupidity. You know, like buying DIRECTV for $50billion then looking to sell it 5 years later for about $5billion, etc

Any information would be helpful!

I doubt Sprint was worse than AT&T. After all, AT&T had to pay T-Mobile $4billion in their botched and ridiculous attempt to merge about 10 years ago. So, unless Sprint gave a competitor a free $4billion because of sheer stupidity, I think the deathstar is still the king of the id–t companies!

As for the rest, thanks for the input - it's something to consider. But if you want to feel better about your situation, just take a peek over at the AT&T layoff board. You guys aren't even close,

I sympathize but Sprint had everyone beat when it comes to mismanagement. Why do you think they’re out of business?

If it's a RETAIL sales job - most likely safe (at least as safe as it gets). Any other position here? Shaky........
