SGLs are they being obolished ?
Are they still SGL positions out there ours have been obolished.
There's now just WGLs here.
Just wondering if this is going on through out the system ?

Yeah all sgf does is forward emails and blame people. Pretty pie job. $97000 a year of pure value.
When I first saw this I thought it did SGF lol. If you think about it all you really need is front line supervisors and a shop manager for them to report to. That would save big money but it makes too much sense for NS to do it.
It's all a joke the union is worthless. The company is run by a bunch of clowns. If you are still in your holding out to get your retirement. Hoping it does not crumble first. It's not just the NS the whole industry is going down the drain. When the the bottom person on the roster has 15 years in and there is one weekend job. The writing is on the wall good luck to you all.

Do we have a union? If we didn't have one alot of crafts would be contracted out immediately at who knows what wage and benefits. But as far as holding the company to the contract on the work rules, we don't have one.

The SGLs are generally despised only by those who are jealous. An SGL that's worth his salt keeps a lot of folks out of trouble by heading off trouble before it happens. The best revenge is living well boys...haha oh....and girls...girl boys... boys girls

SGL's couldn't work with their tools. WGL's can and will under the new regime. SGL's should have never been negotiated in the first place. Allowing people to be appointed and breaking the seniority bidding process undermines the union. We all do our time on the bottom and the worst shift and off days. SGL appointments allow favorites to circumvent some of this.
There a bunch of carp graveyard jobs with nothing better to do than snitch on people especially in Bellvue.
DEC just abolished all the SGL jobs only to put up WGL jobs and the same company scum are on them.
