Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Shameful

It is unbelievable how dishonest the leadership is and it is left totally unchecked. All the stories from the Directors that they didn’t know who was being terminated until it happened. Turns out that was all BS. Directors had to sign off on terminations 60 days prior to said legal could align and Severance Agreements could be prepared, reviewed and approved. PepsiCo cannot legally leave terminations to random selection. Word is Directors were to remove all negative employees and older employees representing a higher cost burden. Shameful.

The role of the director is to hire friends, friends of friends, relatives, etc.. and act like they are total strangers. Then watch how they magically very quickly get promoted.

MY directors just tell people what to do and go out in the market and yell at us for not doing a few things right. Then the arsehat takes credit for all of my teamates hard work revenue growth. I have been here 23 years and this guy comes in after 6 months and says we had the best growth in our history. like he did something besides pick us apart. Get rid of that guy maybe

Oh for sure. I got a torn a new orifice by a director who had my Speak Up feedback in her hand. She was a raving lunatic. I was told if I say anything she would deny it. what a looser.

What does a director do? I know of one that hired his Boy Scout team as interns and in less than two years made them senior analysts. The good ole boy network at its best.

The "Director" in my area was just a total sleazeball and a loudmouth who couldn't manage anything. All he was interested was protecting his buddies when they violated the code of conduct. The fact that an organization promoted this guy to a Director level speaks volumes about the toxic culture with Pepsico.
