If you manage people who put chips or soda on the shelf you’re safe. If you put product on the shelf you’re safe. If you deal with customers, consumers and employees you’re safe. If you sit at home worrying about the business moving on without you well you already have your answer. Make a difference and you’ll be just fine!

As they stated, any job they can automate, outsource, or move overseas where it is cheaper, they will. It seems anyone who stays will be a hire to rehire except possibly sales and OTR drivers. All if this came from either the CEO or a VP.
Somewhere, I read a few years ago that sales management was going to be outsourced. There is an article with the former CEO talking about it. Look hard enough and you will find it online. I think it was in 2008 if I remember right. It is sad. So many people say how they are so much better since they left but there are people like me who have been dedicated for years and they try and work hard and don't want to be kicked out the door like yesterday's news. It is inevitable though but I was hoping to someday retire from here and in the meantime, help improve practices, policies, and tools to do the job easier for everyone. This is my home away from home but not for long. I don't want to go though. It is far from perfect but it is what I know.
