Belk needs to follow CDC guidelines. People exposed should have been told to quarantine for 14 days. In the store I work at several people are currently out with covid. Store should be deep cleaned and we are all risking our health by going to work.

Where your mask properly at all times, and ask the same of your team members. For the customers who tend to want to get close, keep backing away. They eventually get your point and still get great service. It’s really just 6 ft., but you can tell some of them aren’t getting out much.

There might be some HIPAA regulations they have to follow, which is why they don't tell you anything. Having said that, I think people should know without any names being mentioned. Maybe Belk figures if they said anything employees would stop coming to work. It's interesting that employees are required to wear a mask but customers can shop without one. A lot of these customers don't understand the concept of social distancing. They stand next to the cashiers instead of behind the plexiglass shield. They want to stand six inches from your face to ask about merchandise. They want to come in mask-less coughing like they're about to hack up a lung and we're supposed to be ok with that.

We have had several people who have had COVID. Management never said a word. No contact tracing. The area where the associate worked was never disinfected. Nothing. Scary

“Not in danger of being exposed”

Actually, I was exposed, and did contract it.

Belk is following all CDC guidelines. If you were not contract traced, you most likely were not in danger of being exposed. Just went through this. Could not have been handled any better! Proud of their guidance and strict protocol.

We were not notified. Not a single time. The employees themselves told us when they returned, and they were pretty surprised that we didn’t know.

How many people that work for Belk think that they would be notified if they were in contact with an employee that tested positive? They don't!

“ They let you know if you came in contact with that employee “.
How would it be determined? By observation? Happened accidentally? Is there anybody in position to keep an eye who is near who?
I wouldn’t rely on that.
