If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Raytheon Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Yes, for sure. Air travel will not be allowed to recover, which will hurt P&W and Collins even more.
I’d say definitely by feb of 2021 if your job description takes on a new title you can bet you’ll be replaced by younger more educated personnel- “your position is no longer needed” yet it is it has only “changed names” a legal way of weeding out the older personnel that obtained their position via work experience rather then education UTC is notorious for pressing for higher education work force - of course/ the new work for will accept a lower starting psy as well as a decreased health cost - you do the math
No layoffs at all. Not one. But keep on posting this in lots of forums, somebody someplace is going to get laid off. Will that make you happy?

It’s almost December, so I believe whatever was going to be done for the year is already done by now. Pratt and Collins took the brunt of layoffs and cutbacks this year. I would surmise that missile systems division will be receiving a hard look from corporate considering the subpoena and class action lawsuit. I work in the missile defense division on the manufacturing floor and most of us are expecting lots of things to change next year. But this is all hypothetical. Granite everything we’ve seen so far points to our theories being correct. Either way, enjoy the holidays and worry about this after New Years.
