I work in a warehouse and we have little to no work. This has been ongoing for weeks. No one has ever seen it this slow they say. Hours were cut in some departments and others are offering VTO every day. Things are just weird around here. At the rate we're going, I see lay offs in the near future.
I believe there will be more layoffs and store closures in 2021. The team members at my store work hard to keep the store looking good and serving our shopping guests. Problem is that the store is understaffed and the once money making home department is basically empty. Sheets, towels, bedding and window areas are empty! The shoe departments are showing no selection.
If JCPENNEY would turn back time and return to their ways of the profitable times they stand a chance of survival.
