Do you think there will be Macy's Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

I heard Ovs is going Not sure if that’s true
The company has been quietly testing operating stores without store managers in lower volume neighborhood locations since reopening from the pandemic closings. These stores are run by the Operations, Visual, Merchandising Managers (OVM's). Results in these locations have been commensurate with buildings with a Store Manager, the only difference being an average savings of $200,000 in salaries, bonus, and benefits. There are roughly 300 stores including neighborhood locations in these volume ranges, projected annual savings approximately $60 million.
Outside of letting the seasonal help go, I can't imagine cutting back staff any more than the company already has. Only about 40% of our store's employees were brought back following the spring furlough. Unless the store returns to 11am-7pm hours after the holidays, the situation will not be viable. I feel thankful to have a job- but it has been a grind.
Of course there will be. They have to in order to survive.
Is a bean green?
Many stores closing!
HA HA...what a silly question!!!
UES!!! There has been one as far back as we can so vividly remember. Why would this year be any different? Denial is not a great medicine to take .
- 5 billion in cuts by 2022 that is one year to cut a ton of money. Job loss / store closing you name it’s gonna happen. They want this Xmas to make it but the ceo is begging the gov not to shut down again. And guess what. It’s starting to shut down.
Sadly , yes. They are needing to cut 1.5bill, its written in these posts + online
Absolutely not
Really? You need to ask?
