Ok....so supposedly CA stores are closing at 10pm and if colleagues are scheduled later they are to stay, recover and do fulfillment???!!! WTF MACY'S???!!! THE CURFEW IS AT 10PM!!! THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO BE HOME BY 10PM!!!! UGH....id–tS!!! GET YOUR HEAD OUT OFF YOUR BEHINDS AND STARTVREALLY CARING ABOUT THE HEALTH OF YOUR PEEPS!!!!!

Forget "asking" customers who are mask-less to leave the building. How about "ordering" them to get out. Why should Macy's care about offending patrons who obviously don't care about anyone else. How about the employees? How about the other customers who ARE wearing masks and won't come back because they don't feel safe shopping in our stores?
When is the company going to allow stores to ask people who refuse to wear a mask to leave the building? We spend hours planning for occupancy drills on how to limit the number of people that might come into the store on Black Friday, but it's OK that the 1000 people we can let in don't wear a mask and we can't kick them out? Come on Jeff, we are literally risking our lives out here so Macy's survive, how about Macy's doing the same for us?
We want our store to be successful but we also want to be able to get home without having to get an Uber. There is no one at the store after 7PM tonight let alone after 9PM, doesn't seem to make sense to keep the store open and pay salaries and cover the cost of lighting and HVAC. There is simply no way that staying open the extra hours makes sense from either an employee or profit perspective. We want to support our store and company, but the only people that come in after 7PM are street people and shoplifters and almost none of them wear a mask. It's not about whining, it's about good business decisions and balancing the chance of making a few extra dollars in sales against the shortage and people costs. Retail Live Matter too.
It’s called do your job and help your store make money. You don’t have to be home at 10 you’re working. They close the stores to stop young people from going out. Of course Macy’s is going to use that time to help the store
But are we allowed to go out and dine with the governor after the store closes?
Curfew is for business to close at 10pm not for everyone to be at home.
Don’t you want your store to be successful? People do want all those things. Stop being a whiner and just work your shifts and make the best of it. After all you are getting paid for it. If it’s not right for you then resign!
Every store in our mall closes at 9pm all the way through Christmas except for our store. Our new regional is completely inflexible and won't listen to the store managers request to close earlier. We are a downtown location and even after going through covid, furlough, civil unrest, she thinks keeping everyone at the store three hours after all buses and transportation stops running might add a few extra dollar. All she does is talk about how her favorite number is #1, doesn't seem to care about the safety of the people who work at the store. Even our DVP if frustrated, trading safety for a few dollars so she can be #1. Good luck and stay safe this holiday.

If Macys is considered "essential" then they are exempt from curfew.
Are you for real Macy's??? I thought the HEALTH GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS was the #1 priority for HOLIDAY 2020??? ...I guess it really is ALL ABOUT THE $$!!!. SMH
