Did anyone hear of some Walmart’s closing for 6 weeks?

There are historical instances of stores closing for remodeling, upgrading and repairs. For example, I believe (not long ago) a store closed for numerous weeks because of a utility issue. I believe associates were offered positions at other locations while the issue was rectified. To be fair, though, there was some criticism of Walmart at this location that the repairs were done at a time when a ground roots movement to unionize was just getting underway. Someone can fact check me on that.

I had to laugh at this lol. We had a store in my area that had an associate host a party, at said party they were passing around bottles instead of using glasses. Also at this party there were people there who knowingly had tested positive for the virus. That store had 40-60 call offs so home office shut them down. They had from about 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday until 6 a.m. Thursday to get the store sterilized. When the market manager asked for more time they were told no....they weren’t losing anymore money! WM does not care if it’s going to affect their profits!

Someone at my store heard that they were going to shut down for the six weeks but that we would still work because they would keep the online shopping going ( OGP). But we'll never know until it happens.
