Doug Lawler awarded $120.8 million

CEO Doug Lawler had been awarded $120.8 million in reported compensation since he began his tenure in 2013. What did shareholders get for that?

Ex-APC execs are good at remunerating themselves. They learned from their master, RAW

Doug Lawler was hired by a Board controlled by Icahn's hand-picked, heavy-handed thugs. They were looking for a new CEO who who was the opposite of AKM. Someone who was fiscally responsible, not conflicted by massive conflicts of interest, and who would not do whatever he wanted and then ask the Board to ratify his poor choices.

They got what they were looking for.

When Icahn exited the stock for the second time, the writing was on the wall.

The last "communication" from the CEO to employees was a scathing video explaining that they cannot be trusted to work from home and that exceptions would require VP approval. It has been crickets for a while now. Those left have only this website and their own common sense to advise. C'mon severance

Totally agree. Southwest Airlines ceo isn’t taking a salary thru 2021 in an effort to avoid layoffs, and he cut his execs pay. Chk’s leadership will have a great year, while letting hundreds go. Again. DL should be ashamed every time he looks in the mirror.

I'm really over the ceo supporters. Everyone talks about what a mess he inherited. One of the big culture points was accountability. Every town hall and email was an excuse for failure. he blamed analysts that he said didn't understand. The stock is now zero. Every time we had cash he blew it, but always blamed the debt. The wild horse acquisition was one of the biggest blunders. Idps were a joke; he has no honor of character, what qualifies him to initiate any type of self improvement initiative? Not sure who still defends him. It isn't the 90 percent of the company he has systematically let go, it isn't any of the partners or shareholders. I assume if there are still communications or hr employees they could be the ones posting these, or the CEO himself. His career is nothing but destruction and chaos and carnage. H e will make millions for losing every step of the way. How is that defendable.

Uh. Yes it matters what is realized compensation. Most of his comp was in stock that vaporized right along with the other shareholders. There’s aren’t one of you complainers that could have done a better job at taking on and trying to manage this POS left behind by AKM. Not one of you. AKM and his band of thieves are the only people that made it out the doors of chk with millions.

Realized, awarded, whatever you want to call it. He’s made more money in the last seven years than any of us will in a lifetime.

Now take a look at what’s happened over those seven years. There won’t even be a CHK in a few months. Wow!

Does it really matter how much compensation he realized? As a shareholder, I wish I could travel back to 2013 to pay that schmuck to work somewhere else.

Bogus. There’s a HUGE difference between awarded compensation and realized compensation. He mad a fraction of that. Fact. Nice try to slander. But if you do the math. It’s a bogus claim.

No one can complain. It was a good ride into oblivion and lasted much longer than it should have. I used to meet with CHK employees and afterwards me and my friends would howl with laughter. People would say—can you believe it—those rubes think they have real jobs, think they have careers. They had no idea they were just a small part of a grand theft/con. I don’t know anyone who did business with CHK that didn’t consider the entire company pathologized. The people just weren’t right. There has to be nothing but pure sociopaths left now. The money Lawler got is hilarious. In the oil and gas business—you can cash in on being worthless.
