There is nothing good about this company. Leadership continues to justify corporate maneuvers to achieve IoT and Cloud revenue. The reality is that they have achieved nothing. They will continue this vision of grander things on the horizon but we have little reason to believe them. GK and Susan if your reading this, be honest with yourselves before you can be honest with us.

Susan is the most translucent VP to head support that I’ve known through the many years with this company. She is so distant from employees and customers alike.
Susan got the job for two reasons.
- She speaks in buzz words. Word of the day stuff
- HV will promote a woman over a man any day. They want to be viewed as progressive...
There are numerous examples of this.
I had a open req and was told i had to hire a diverse person.
Without saying you know what that means.
These words came out of the HR persons mouth.
It didnt matter who was most qualified. Had to match the profile that the execs wanted.
You can get a good pair of knee pads at Home Depot in the tool department,
I’ve read through this thread and will concur with the remarks about Susan. I worked with her when she was a PS manager some years back & didn’t find any measure of her work in that role as spectacular. I was gobsmacked when she was elevated into her current role. Executive management clearly was looking for a puppet to push their agenda. Customers Who have interacted with her have come away with similar conclusions.
It is so easy for people to grab a "word of weaponry" and use it completely without thought. I work for Susan and totally disagree with this view. She works tirelessly to provide the best balance possible relative to employees and business decisions. "It aint easy", as they say. I certainly would like to see you (negative post person) give this a try. You could not hold a candle to the activities and accomplishments Susan has provided. I can guarantee you that she does the absolute best for what she "can" do. Sincerely - I am glad to not be your neighbor.
FedupVantara - I understand your dilemma and, while WFR's are not voluntary, you could have a candid conversation with your leadership about your "willingness" to accept a WFR in lieu of others who may need their job. Sounds very selfless but it's a position I've taken a few times with my previous leadership - I would've welcomed a WFR package from HV as a "lovely parting gift" but I would've lost out on my current external position (they weren't going to wait).
I know Susan - due to the state of the business, she has some real $hi++y choice to make and every alternative has significant negative consequences. Trust me when I say that the skills I brought to HDS/HV (and built upon while there..) have value in the job market today. If you are open to change, you will find good available jobs out there right now.
This is a reply to Nostradamus and I applaud your will to leave rather to succumb to conformity. You’re probably a better person than Susan to understand what you were doing was not right and the need to exit the dire situation. I would love to cut and leave this company but unfortunately I’m still awaiting to be one of the chosen ones. This I believe is totally unfair. Sophie’s choice?? Are you kidding me. There are plenty of us that would love to be picked but this corrupt company will continue to lie to us with total BS. Here’s a fair solution —-offer the package to ALL employees and STOP telling us lies.
I was a peer w/Susan for a number of years and can tell you that she is a committed leader that is trying to support the never-ending pivots being made by HV. She does have an excellent understanding of services and support but has to make some difficult choices (think Sophie's choice), where where every alternative has significant negative consequences. I was in a similar situation a few years ago (different company), where constant WFR's k–led my spirit and I finally chose to voluntarily leave.
Knowing Susan, the way I do, I would not be surprised if she did not follow the same path as I did...she's in an untenable situation where the business may not be salvageable. Trust me when I say this - if you were impacted by the WFR, you will be happier elsewhere. As long as you have invested in your skills, there are other opportunities available and the skills you've taken from HV still have market value.
Best wishes to all
You might not like Susan but I don't think misogynistic comments are justified. Managing a support organization is no mean task, and if you think this lady does not deserve it, then its not long before she has a tough time managing this job. So lets leave the whole matter to the people who are making decisions and leave out comments like "I know this b**ch".
Susan was never really fit for the job as head of Global Support. She had no prior experience with customer support and is way over her head but I think that’s exactly want they want. A total yes person afraid of her own shadow.
GK or the new HR mgr take note!!
Everyone knows for the past 15 years in this company you do not get promoted or pay increase no matter how hard or do the right things for the company. in this company you get promotion and/or pay increase if you kiss @$$ or a manager fav or buddies. asking the right questions in this company label you "not a team player"
I know this b**ch. She used to be a contract project manager with NO experience what so ever to run a global support org. and magically got promoted. What an effing joke!!
Susan McLeod .... head of Global Suppprt. She’s a tool.
They have lied to us in the past. Why would there be any reason to believe in what they say today? Lies, lies, lies and more lies.
